Our very first podcast, “The Forecast Ahead”, sparks an important conversation surrounding the imminent* IR35 reforms in the private sector, and how recruitment agencies can effectively prepare for the anticipated changes.

Listen in to hear the insights shared by our panel of experts, including Amy Davies (Director of Sales at the Optionis Group), Mark Beal-Preston (Chief Commercial Officer at the Optionis Group), Seb Maley (CEO of Qdos Contractor) and Clarke Bowles (Head of Key Accounts at Parasol).

We cover topics including the pitfalls of blanket approaches, HMRC’s CEST tool and the alternatives that can be used to ensure correct determination and compliance, as well as the impact of Brexit and the recent General Election to the contracting industry.

With little over two months* before the changes to the legislation becomes reality, we understand that some of the flexible workforce may be facing difficult decisions, including company closure in anticipation of being determined inside IR35. As our recruitment partners, you may also be looking to assess your level of risk in assigning workers to contracts, because of the financial liability you hold as the fee payer.

We’ve also been hard at work to find practical tools to help you through these changes; our Business Impact Tool has been designed to help you efficiently and accurately assess how you would be affected by the reforms, and how you can best prepare to ensure compliance while keeping the process fair and transparent.
