Part of the Optionis Group, Parasol is one of the UK’s largest and longest-established umbrella companies, We employ contractors who work on assignments typically via agencies for end clients. To support our exciting plans for further growth, we have a new, exciting opportunity for a field based Business Development Manager to join us.

You will be responsible for...

Identifying, developing and winning relationships with new and lapsed Agency Partners to refer their contractor business to Parasol and ClearSky Contractor Accounting. Working closely with an office-based partner, you will attend meetings with potential new clients to ensure maximum market awareness and maximise ongoing business

Typical duties will include;

  • Identify contacts at all levels - Director through to Consultants and Contractor Care Teams - within recruitment agencies operating temporary and contract desks
  •  Attend meetings with potential clients gain commitment to win referral business
  • Identify and deliver on potential Sole Supplier / PSL opportunities
  • Once won, further develop the relationship to generate consistent levels of referral business
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Contribute to teams monthly and quarterly objectives
  • Maintain accurate sales records and account plans
  •  Keep up to date with all industry/ developments

We are looking for a BDM who is able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a Business Development and Account Management capacity
  • Results oriented and must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Experience of winning business via face to face client meetings
  • Ability to manage all aspects of winning and developing new accounts: prospecting, cold calling, third-party relationship management and closing
  • Experience of working in the umbrella/recruitment industry (Preferred but not essential)
